Lysa began making perfumes in 2007. With her background in art and photography, creating another sensory experience seemed like a natural progression. She combined her love of design, obsession with the Victorian era, and independent spirit to create Sugar and Spite. Her methods of perfume creation borrow heavily from chiaroscuro - the balance between light and dark, in the most poetic sense of the word. Lysa proudly resides in the Pacific Northwest with her daughter and three ill-behaved cats.
